The SRV_COMPAT environment variable enables a client to connect to an older version of xfServer.

Discussion
Setting SRV_COMPAT is required for clients running version 12.2 or later to connect to servers running version 12.1 or earlier. Be aware that this is an unsupported configuration, and some features may not work.
