block_size
The block size. (n)
Discussion
The BLKSIZ qualifier specifies the RMS block size argument in bytes.

We recommend that you only use BLKSIZ for MAGTAPE devices or to alter the record size of a B submode output file. Use BUFNUM to alter the performance of sequential files. (Values less than the OpenVMS default of 16 cause a reduction in performance.) |
