Accessing Synergy/DE documentation from Visual Studio
You can launch Synergy/DE documentation from Visual Studio by selecting Tools > Synergy/DE Documentation > Online or Local from the Visual Studio menu. The Online entry launches the Synergy/DE documentation at www.synergex.com/docs. The Local entry launches locally-installed Synergy/DE documentation.
You can open a Synergy/DE documentation topic for a specific feature or error by doing one of the following in Visual Studio:
- Pressing F1 in some project properties pages for Synergy/DE projects (see Synergy/DE project properties).
- Pressing F1 in some dialogs for Synergy DBL text editor options (see Options for Synergy/DE projects).
- Pressing F1 or selecting View Help from the Help menu in the C# to DBL Code Converter or the C# to DBL Solution Converter.
- Highlighting an error in the Visual Studio Error List and pressing F1, or selecting “Show Error Help” from the context menu that displays when you right-click an error message in the Visual Studio Error List.
- Using F1 or Visual Studio’s Go To Definition feature for a system-supplied routine. For example, if your code has a Synergy OPEN statement, you can open the documentation for OPEN by right-clicking the OPEN keyword in your code and selecting Go To Definition from the context menu (or by using the F12 shortcut for this feature).
