Synergy DBL Essentials Online
Synergy DBL Essentials Online teaches the basics of the language through a mix of videos, recorded lectures, syntax cheat sheets, knowledge checkpoints, and hands-on exercises. This course is for experienced developers new to Synergy DBL.
Topics Covered: Data types and structures, expressions, internal and external routines, terminal I/O, windowing API, prototyping, Select class, dynamic memory, data management, ISAM files, error handling, libraries, debugging, Repository
Learn anywhere, anytime
New Synergy developers will quickly learn the foundational concepts of the Synergy DBL language so they can hit the ground running. Participants can access their online “classroom” from anywhere and return to it as needed for up to a year following enrollment.

Prerequisites for Participants
- Some programming experience
- The following software tools installed on a 64-bit Windows 10 or higher system (to access, build, and run code at each stage):
- Visual Studio 2022 17.4 or higher
- 32- and 64-bit Synergy/DE installed and licensed
- Synergy DBL Integration for Visual Studio
- An active GitHub account (to submit code for review)
Recommended Setup
- Large monitor, full-size keyboard and mouse, and a development-grade computer with the following minimum configuration:
- Recent model quad-core Intel Core I5 or higher (I7 preferred)
- 8 GB RAM (16 GB or more preferred)
- Solid-state drive (SSD storage)—installing Visual Studio can require up to 40 GB of local storage
- Large-screen full HD (1920 x 1080) or high monitor, recommended 27″ or larger
- Good-quality speakers
